2 QT Deep Sump Oil Pan Kit inc. pickup tube extension for MY97-08 M96/M97 engines in Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models except GT2, GT3, or Turbo. Based on the factory Porsche X51 oil sump plate and baffle, our kit increases oil capacity by 2 quarts and includes an improved oil baffle and anti-slosh tray. The 2 quart deep sump helps reduce the likelihood of oil starvation-related engine failures under sustained high g-forces with its improved baffling and oil control to control oil foaming issues. The 2 quart deep sump can be paired with an Accusump or Tandem Scavenge Pumps for an extra margin of safety. The 2 quart deep sump is recommended when upgrading factory N-Spec Porsche tires with more aggressive compounds, especially those with treadwear ratings of 200 or lower. Please note: if running LN Engineering spin on oil filter adapters or an IMS Solution, a high flow racing oil filter like 106-24 high flow oil filters is recommended.
