The addition of a magnetic drain plug allows for quick and easy inspection of the overall engine health and for identification of engine problems from foreign object debris collected by the magnet!

Fits MY97-08 M96 and M97 engines as well as MY09 and later 9A1 DFI engines used in Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models. 

LN Engineering’s billet aluminum hard-anodized magnetic drain plug is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and has a large 9.5mm (3/8”) powerful rare-earth magnet to reduce iron (Fe) levels in oil, which is a primary source for wear in your engine, with up to 6.5kgs (14 lbs.) of pull!

It uses the exact M18x1.5mm original thread pitch and replaces the original drain plug, (Porsche part no: 900 219 009 30) and uses the original sealing ring (Porsche part number 900 123 106 30) one sealing ring is included and needs to be replaced every time you install the drain plug and torqued to 26Nm (19 ft/lb.) Installs with an 8mm Hex, just like the stock plug.

The torque specification is also etched on the sump plug for ease of use.
